The Local Plan
The Local Plan is part of the overall development plan for West Berkshire. It sets out local planning policies.
We are currently undergoing a review of our local plan to 2039. You can read the current Local Plan here.
Core Strategy
The Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) sets out our overall planning strategy to 2026.
It explains our vision for the area, and how it will be delivered. It also provides a framework for more detailed policies, which will be contained in future development plan documents prepared as part of the Local Plan.
Policy CS6
Policy CS6 [188KB] sets out our requirements for the provision of affordable housing.
Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
The Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets out the requirements for developer contributions towards local infrastructure, services and amenities. It includes information on Section 106 agreements and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
