EHA Traded Service for Schools

Could the EHA help children and young people at your school?

Over the past six years we have provided support to over 5,000 children and young people through individual, group and classroom interventions. Schools have reported that our Emotional Health Workers have had a positive impact in the school and lessened the load on existing Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs).

Our traded service is available in West Berkshire as well as to out-of-area schools.

What can the EHA help with?

Our Emotional Health Workers use targeted, evidence-based practice to support children with a wide range of issues, in one-to-one sessions, small groups (5 to 8 students) or class-based sessions. We also provide services for parents and staff.

We offer support for issues including anxiety, low mood, self-harm, social problems, stress, and low motivation. We can also support students with building confidence, assertiveness, friendship skills and resilience.

We will carry out interventions with children and young people with ASD or ADHD (including pre-diagnosis) who often present with complex needs in school.

Support programmes

We also offer the 'Stronger You' and 'Dealing with Difficulties' programmes (explained below) which support young people around resilience and emotional wellbeing, as part of our traded service.

We can also create bespoke programmes to meet specific needs within your school.

The Stronger You Programme

Stronger You is an evidence-informed prevention programme, designed to provide a safe space for young people to explore the tools and skills needed to get through difficult times in life and to build resilience. Pupils from Little Heath School recently took part in the Stronger You Programme, where they participated in group activities and discussions, pair work and individual reflection to explore different topics.

Find out more in the video below or download the Icon for pdf Stronger You Programme [781KB]  leaflet.

The Dealing with Difficulties Programme

The Dealing with Difficulties group intervention provides support, information and practical help to young people aged 11 to 16, who are experiencing emergent to mild emotional health difficulties. These include anger, low mood, anxiety, body image difficulties, low confidence, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties.

This intervention aims to create a safe space for individuals to explore important topics through group discussion, pair work, group activities and individual reflection.
