Mental Health Support Team: referrals

Referrals into the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) can be made in 2 ways:

1. Direct to the MHST through half-termly surgeries held with Senior Mental Heath Leaders (SMHLs) in schools
    
2. Through the Emotional Health Triage
   (This is predominantly the referral route for anyone other than school staff, eg: GPs, Parents, CYP, Children's Services)

If a referral is received by Triage from an MHST school, then prior to the Triage meeting when referrals are discussed, school will be contacted for information regarding what school based interventions have been delivered already.
