West Berkshire Community Connect: Thatcham Connect
Thatcham Connect in an on-demand bus service connecting some villages surrounding Thatcham to Thatcham Broadway, Thatcham Station and the A4 Bath Road between Thatcham and Theale.

- Bradfield Southend
- Brimpton
- Brimpton Common
- Bucklebury
- Bucklebury Farm Park
- Chapel Row
- Cold Ash
- Crookham
- Englefield
- Lower Padworth
- Stanford Dingley
- Tadley (Franklin Avenue only)
- Thatcham Broadway
- Thatcham Station
- Upper Bucklebury
You will not be able to travel within Thatcham as there are timetabled public bus services available. You will also not be able to travel from Thatcham to Woolhampton/Midgham/Aldermaston via the A4 as alternative travel options are available. Travelling further afield
By bus
At Thatcham Broadway there are timetabled bus routes available which go to North/South Thatcham, Newbury, Calcot, Theale and Reading. We can also take you to stops at Woolhampton and Aldermaston on the A4 to connect with the Jet Black 1 service to go to Newbury and Reading.
By train
The service can take you to Thatcham, Midgham and Aldermaston Stations, where you can catch (Great Western Railway) services to Reading, London Paddington, Newbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn.
Things to do
There are many walking routes that can be accessed by using Thatcham Connect.
You can also use Thatcham Connect to visit Bucklebury Farm Park, Bucklebury Common and Crookham Common.
Community Connect timetabled bus services
As well as the Thatcham Connect on-demand service we will continue to run some timetabled services.
You do not need to book to use this service and it runs independently from the West Berkshire Community Connect service. You will not be able to track these routes in the passenger app.
Community Connect B and Community Connect C will operate all year round, but not on public holidays.
Community Connect B (CCB)
The service operates a morning and afternoon peak journey, Monday to Friday at the following times:
- 7.45am from Aldermaston Wharf to Thatcham Broadway via Tadley, Brimpton, Crookham and Thatcham Station
- 16.20pm from Thatcham Broadway to Aldermaston Wharf via Thatcham Station, Crookham, Brimpton and Tadley - this service will extend to Beenham, Upper Bucklebury and Cold Ash upon request
The service will also operate a Friday service inbound and outbound journey between Thatcham Broadway and Beenham at the following times:
- 11.51am from Beenham to Thatcham Broadway via Aldermaston, Tadley, Brimpton, Crookham and Thatcham Station - the service is scheduled to arrive at Thatcham Broadway at 12.33pm
- 13.40pm from Thatcham Broadway to Beenham, via Thatcham Station, Crookham, Brimpton, Tadley and Aldermaston - the service is scheduled to arrive in Beenham at 14.23pm

Community Connect C (CCC)
A shopper service operating between Thatcham and Calcot Sainsbury's on Monday and Wednesdays. It departs at the following times:
- 11.10am from to Thatcham Broadway to Calcot Sainsbury's via Thatcham Station, Crookham, Brimpton, Tadley, Aldermaston, Beenham, Bradfield and Englefield - the service will arrive at Calcot Sainsbury's at 12.10pm
- 13.40pm from Calcot Sainsbury's to Thatcham Broadway via Englefield, Bradfield, Beenham, Aldermaston, Tadley, Brimpton, Crookham and Thatcham Station - the service arrives at Thatcham Broadway at 14.42pm
